Jacob and Abraham Waggoner are both found in Williamson, Rutherford, and Davidson counties in the early 1800's. Many years ago, my mother found these names side by side on a Rutherford County petition ca. 1810-1820, but she is not actually related to them and did not note where she found the document. I have not found it myself. Is this the same Abraham Waggoner who died in Davidson County in 1862? I lose Jacob after about 1820. Did he die or move elsewhere?

Abraham died in Davidson County TN in 1862. I have no clue what Waggoner family he comes from except for Jacob's proximity in about 1815 or so.

What do you know about them? If you're a Huggins, then I know Abraham is in your line. What about Jacob? My husband is descended from Abraham's daughter Tennessee who married William H. Bugg.

Abraham is my 3rd great-grandfather thru his 2nd wife, Ellender Perry. I only know that Jacob was married to Esther Stevans and they had 8 known children; Derinda, Thomas, Matilda, Jacob Jr., Henrietta, Jane, Tarissa, & William H. I have nothing on the children. I only have the children of Tennessee and William. Nothing further on that line.

Jacob, Issac, and Abraham are NOT of German decent; They decend from John and Rachael Waggoner of Essex Co., VA. There are at least two good web sites on line..if ou do search for John Waggoner...that will show how this line goes. There were some people from TN that had a research done and mistakenly claimed they decended from Wilhelm Waggoner. But, these sites are backed up with sources And will prove diffently.
