Contrary to general belief, Ann Eliza Webb (d/o Chauncey G. & Eliza J. Churchill Webb, and at one time wife of Brigham Young) did not die in 1925 in Rochester, NY. Her death and place of burial have finally been located.
After her divorce from Moses Denning in Manistee, she did not travel east, but instead returned west. In 1900, she was recorded in the U.S. census as living in Breckenridge, Summit Co. CO. Subsequently, the 1910 census reported her residing in Sparks, Washoe Co. NV.
Ann Eliza died at her home in Sparks on 7 December 1917; cause of death was pneumonia incident to old age. She was buried on 9 December in Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, NV. According to the cemetery office, the location of her grave is:
Sec. C-2 (Cottonwood Lot),
and perhaps not surprisingly, the grave is unmarked.
I have already updated her information in New FS and on her Wikipedia page (with sources). This message is to let any others who may be interested know that the so-called mystery of her disappearance has at last been solved.
