Looking for GG Grandparents William Barnes Born abt 1820 Died Feb 18,1882 in Boone Bay Newfoundland, Married Maria Yates Born abt 1824 died 1895 in Trout river Newfoundland. They probably would have been married before 1843, they were living on the South West Coast of Newfoundland in 1843 where their first child was born. Any info would be appreciated. We have hit a brick wall with these people, but it has come to light that they were possibly from Nova Scotia.

No we never got any further.I am still working on the family tree. But I couldn't seem to get back past him

yeah it's hard to find information on him. Did you find anything at all like who williams parents was? or any kind of proof of the mi'kmaq

No I never found anything past William, but as far as I know he came from England and I could never find anything on Maria or who her parents were,I was talking to a guy in the states and he told me her parents came here from england but I could never find any proof of that either. I don't think there was any micmac on that side, not that I could find anyway.

Well from what we have been hearing from my grandfather which is Eva's son they were mi'kmaq . But we can't find anything either on the Barnes ...
