The Francesco I'm looking for was born in the Sicilian town of Mussomelli...but then moved to Vicari, Sicily and immigrated from that town to the USA in 1902...His wife's name was Gusieppa Giacinto and they left Vicari with two children...Pietro (age 7) and Antonina (age 2) who died in Chicago soon after they arrived there...has anyone info on either family (Arnone or Giacinto) back in Sicily???

I think we have a connection. On my family tree I have a Francesco Arnone born in Mussomeli (my great grand uncle in law) and he married Guiseppa Giacinto in Vicari (my great grand aunt.) She died in Chicago in 1953 and he died in Chicago in 1936. I believe they had 9 children.

That sure sounds like my grandfather and grandmother...I never knew my grandfather (Frank Arnone) because he died two years before my parents married in 1938...but my grandmother Arnone did live until 1953...and yes, they had nine children...three died in Italy before they came to Chicago...a daughter died shortly after they arrived in Chicago and five lived to adulthood...my father, Mario Arnone, died at 86 in 1995!....I no longer live in Chicago...though I visit often...I live in Florida...have you picked up any family information from my Carnesi-Arnone Family Tree on Ancestry.com...I've noticed that there is a Piazza Family Tree...is that you????

Yes I am the Piazza Family Tree. I have gotten much info from the Carnesi-Arnone Family Tree. I live in Schaumburg, IL now but I grew up in Chicago around Addison and Elston. My mother is the connection to Arnone. Her maiden name is Binanti and she grew up on Sheffield not far from Wrigley Field in Chicago. Anything sound familiar?

Yes... Yes Everything sounds familiar...Binanti...was Adeline Binanti Guzzi related to you...an aunt, perhaps...she & Roger had 4 children...Roger, Jr; Daniel, Rita & Virginia....Adeline was my father's 1st cousin...their mothers, Josephine Arnone and Frances or Pauline (can't remember which)were sisters...right???

I grew up around Damen & Henderson...my parents had a grocery store on Henderson...my maternal grandparents lived on Maplewood, off Lawrence Ave...in fact...I purchased my grandparents bldg from my mother & her sister in 1977...sold it in 2000...bought another place in the East Village (Chestnut & Ashland) which I rehab'ed...still have that place in Chicago...so come into visit my tenants and family...in fact will be in Chicago this weekend....say...I've just come across a couple of family members who have their own trees...we've hooked up by inviting each other to join our respective Family Trees... would you be interested in doing that? If so, you'll need my email on Ancestry...which is lilolesadie@yahoo.com and my real name is Arlene Arnone Bibbs.

This is so neat. I knew Adeline Binanti Guzzi and her family. She was my grandfather's (Anthony Binanti) sister. Francis Giacinto was Anthony and Adeline's mother. Pauline (Fedota) was my grandmother married to Anthony.
I would love to share family tree info, however, when I went to check mine tonight it wasn't there. I am sick about it. I emailed Ancestry.com to see what could have happened.
