Surnames: Jefferson
My name is Denise Adair, my g-g-g-grandfather was Thomas Campbell Jefferson, his son was named John Rufus Jefferson who was married to Lydia (Liddie) Allman. They are buried at East Dora Cementry. I have been trying to find Campbell Jefferson parents to no avail. I have a picture of John Rufus and Liddie. Campbell Jefferson is buried in Cullman. He died June 3, 1882. He was a brick mason. You can email me at okadair@aol.com.

Denise,
Lydia Allman and John Rufus Jefferson were parents of my great grandmother Daisy Ethel Jefferson. She married Marion Yancey Clark. I am descended from one of their sons, William Brady Clark. Would love to see the picture of John Rufus and Liddie. Though my mother has memories of Daisy she does not have many photos from that line. You may email me at jeanann914@comcast.net
Thanks!

I Am a direct descendant of Campbell via John Rufus. His son was Thomas Campbell who had my grandfather Barney Dee Jefferson. Barney's son is my father, Gerald Jefferson and I am Christopher Dee Jefferson. Tried to email u but I encountered a fatal error of ur email.

John Rufus fought with the 1st AL Cav, USA Volunteers. Mustered in in 1862. Also have a letter of recommendation from William T Sherman to John Rufus for a job during reconstruction in New Orleans (1870's). It is now in care of The University of Alabama. Also have a ton of civil war pictures also in custodY of UA. Only one pic tho of John Rufus.

My gr gr grandparents were John Rufus Jefferson and Lydia Allman. Their daughter, Daisy Ethel Jefferson married Msrion Yancey Clark and one of their sons was William Brady Clark, my grandfather. I noted you have a photo of Lydia and John Rufus. Could I possibly get a copy? My mother grew up in Jasper, AL and her 80th birthday is coming up. I would love to surprise her with a photo of her gr grandparents! We are planning to visit the East Dora Cemetery this summer so any info you have would be appreciated.
Thanks so much,
