John Joseph Seery ;born Calcutta India late 1800's.His father was serving in the army in India ,also served for the N.Z (Maori) army recieving the medal for virtious Honour. John came to Australia and married .I have all in formation from John down to now but none on his father and Mother. Any in formation would be greatly appreciated.

My Father's Mother was Margaret "Rita" Ellen McCarthy nee Seery born 6 Aug 1906/7. They lived in Perth, WA. I am looking for my GMothers Father's name and I recall stories involving "India" but not sure of the connection.

I am wondering if there is any connection? I am not sure if my GMother lived in Adelaide before Perth. I know that my GGfather died in Perth as he lived with my Father and Gran at the time. Unfortunately both my Gran and Dad are deceased so I am way short of info to start the search....
