Looking for any and all information regarding THE MADER FAMILY. My gr-gr-grandfather, William Henry MADER was born in 1830 in Germany immigrated to this country in approx. 1844 in Phil, PA., when he was 14 years old. It is not known if he traveled alone and got up with family already here, or traveled with his family. Parents names are not known at this time. He married an Anna Margaret HEINLINE in either Ross Co. or Pickaway Co.(conflicting data on this fact), in 1853. He raised his 7 children in Ross Co, Chillicothe, Ohio. Children: William who was for a while a salesman in Cincinnati, then moved to Nashville, Tenn. no futher inforamtion is known, Louisa D, Barbara M. who married Gregor HAGEMANN, Charles Frederick who married Mary Florence GARTNER, Jacob F. who married Ella Jane DEAGLE and lived in Bucyrus, Crawford Co, John G. who went by the name of Jack and lived in both Chillicothe, and Marion Co., Frederick C. who married Jessie ARMSTRONG.

From Charles Frederick's line the surnames go on to include:BARROWS, HOLLADAY, ROSEBOOM.

INTERESTING IN FINDING WM. H.'S PARENTS AND ANY OTHER MADER FAMILY INFORMATION.

My dad's tree has a Jessie Crundwell Armstrong born 7-16-1879 in Springfield, Ohio, I believe. Her father James Cyrus Armstrong married Alice Ann Baker of Olney, Il. My dad's tree was from up east, but I can find no info since their arrival in Ohio around 1812.

Surnames: MADER, NEUFFER, HEINLEIN, GARTNER, ARMSTRONG, DEAGLE, STOER, LANG, BARROWS, HOLLADAY, HANKLE, ROSEBOOM, PECK, HARTMEYER
MADER FAMILY: The family has now grown, First we have Jacob Friedrich who married Freidrika Dorothia Neuffer and had (how many children is currently the search), my gr gr grandfather, Wilhelm Heinrich in 1830. Some where at a time unknown Dorothia died. Jacob F. emmigrated to this country in 1836, married again in 1837 to Johanna Stoer and had 7 more children and lived in Chillicothe, Ohio, Ross Co. Johanna died and is buried in Chillicothe. He married again in 1851 to Magdalena Lang and had 7 more children. This group of 7 was raised in Circleville. Jacob was from Pfullingen, Reutlingen, Baden, Germany. He died in 1888 and is buried in Circleville with many of his family and his 3rd wife, Magdadelena. Any information regarding any of the above will be greatly appreciated. Trying to find what happended to John (probably Johann who was another German Mader is Circleville in 1840, perhaps he is Jacob's brother. Where did he go? Also there is a large group of Mader's in Bucyrus, Crawford Co. I believe is connected, but so far the only documentation I have to support this a marriage between, Madege Mader of the Circleville Maders and George Mader of the Bucyrus Maders. Presumable they are distant cousins. Please contact me with any possible connections. Trying to find out if Wilhelm Heinrich's (William Henry), mother; Friedrika Dorothia made it to the US and if so where, or whether she died in Germany, or perhaps in route. And if Wilhelm has any sibs??

Thanks
Sandy

Betty, I know your message is old, but I just found it. I have a typed (well, photocopied) document called "Family Tree of Martin Deagle (Deigel) (1798-1901) and His Wife Mary Ann (Amy) Leaman (Lehman) (1809-1890), from Wittenburg, Germany to Canada in 1832." It was prepared by Freida Deagle Patterson and Isabel Hicker Smaller from Ontario. Interested? Drop me a line if you are.
