I think I have found the line you are looking for in Saratoga. Seems to be the only Edward in Saratoga county in 1860 of that age.

Just one question.

You have Edward as born about 1858-1862.If he was he couldnt have been in the civil war as you have noted.

Just wanted to make sure you had the right Edward and that his wife was Ann before I continued that search. Dont want to lead you down the wrong path with it.

In 1860I found a Edward M as it is listed, but could be a "W".
He is listed with his father Thomas and sister, says father married but mother not listed with him, but mothers family is. Found them in Saratoga 1855 census, living with mothers family, mothers name Sarah (Bonny) Smith.

I could list it for you so you can take a look unless you think this could not possible be him.

1880 Anna is 20, which would only maker her 45 in 1905, not 74, so that cant be her

I followed Anna(ie) through the census and could not find where she married a Baker. In 1910 she was still Annie Smith and had her children George and Minnie living with her

What documentation do you have that Anna married a Baker?
