I am looking for a connection to Sinclairs and Reid Families,
and Fitzpatrick may be Patrick?

family information is that these families are related to either Moore or Cook (possibly Cook) Auckland NZ (cousins)? also to Arthur and Houston families from New Cumnock Ayr, the Arthur family settled at Stockyard Hill and Beaufort both these places are near Ballarat Victoria..
so as you can see their may be a connection , also the name Snodgrass in NZ was mentioned..

The first Cook in NZ was Walter Alfred Cook Marr Auckland 1849 to Martha Smith (born abt 1833 Kilmarnock)
Walter's occupation Marine Engineer.

Frederick Moore (occupation Engineer) wife Catherine Black
family in NZ abt 1860 maybe Launceston Tasmania previous to this.

have looked for a connection for sometime without success..
one name mentioned to me is a Lindsay Sinclair?

hopeful
Lorette.

I have come on site for first time and was intrigued. My grandparents came from Kilmarnock. My g /father was Peter Sinclair (d.1927) and my g/mother was Nellie Webster (d.1937). They moved to Partick in Glasgow and had three sons and two daughters that I know of - John, Peter, my father Allan, Gracie and Martha who emigrated to Canada. I'd love to know if anyone has any info. about any of them.

I realize you posted this a very long time ago, but I just came across this and want to keep this thread alive, "Patricks from Kilmarnock." I don't think I have your ancestor in my tree but maybe we are related somehow. I am looking for the descendants of Charles Patrick (b. about 1856 in Catrine)and his wife Annie McMillan (b. 1857). I believe they had 13 children though I've only found records for 12, born starting in 1876: John, Elizabeth, Mary, Annie, William, Charles, Ellen, Peter, Cuthbert, Adam, Matthew and Alexander, and one other daughter (name unknown). Their father Charles Patrick was a butcher and the family lived in Kilmarnock and in Ayrshire generally. 1911 Scottish census record has them in Coalburn, Lesmahagow. Most of the sons were coal miners and young Annie worked at the pit head. Anyway, I would love to know what happened to this family or locate descendants. I have a few records and some pictures. Some people are unknown/unnamed in the photos and I would love to identify them.

I have been looking on FamilySearch.Org and see that a Charles Patrick living in Kilmarnock moved to Muirkirk for the 1891 census. Is this correct?

The one other child I have,- maybe born in Muirkirk is Berthia?

Adam Dunlop Patrick is one of his last born and is my Grandfather who married Grace Edith Mary Truscott, somewhere in England I believe.
