I don't know where Tabusintac, NB is. My people originated from (we are assuming) Scotland. Robert England arrived about 1803-1805. He had a son John b1806 Parish of Chatham Northumberland,NB. John m.28 Sept 1833 to Catherine Taylor b1805. Some of the Englands moved to Maine.

Tabusintac is about a 45 min drive from Chatham NB. I would say there is some relation. This John England that I am talking about was my Great Grandfather. My father said that John was born to a McCallum lady, and that he never knew who his real father was.

I notice Alice is answering your message as well. Her ggrandfather and my ggrandfather are brothers. What we need here are dates. Do you have dates and names of your father, grandfather, ggrandfather? jjanzen@lightspeed.net. The Englands of New Brunswick are an elusive bunch. Jerry.

Happened to be out looking on the name of John England today and found your earlier query. Think I may be able to help you a fair bit. Have quite a bit of info on the England's from Tabusintac and Chatham. They are all related. (Don't necessarily believe the Taylor name although it's possible John had two wive. He definitely was married to Christine McCallum.) See below for example.

I'm curious why you think the John England married Catherine Taylor. Some evidence that she married Christine McCallum. Perhaps both of them although 1851 census does show his wife's name as Catherine. (But having used that census extensively, I have little confidence in the spelling of any name. Think it must be those Scotch accents, or maybe those moonshiners from Moray brought their skills with them. :-))

JHi John, I was wondering if you have any information on a George Henderson married to Nancy Taylor? I was told that they lived in Chatham/New Castle and their Tailor Business was burned in the 1825 Miramichi Fire. Their son John Henderson was born in 1800 and married Sarah Diamond on Dec 24,1830 in Addington Parish. In this same information it states that John Henderson was a first cousin to William England. Do you know anything about this connection??? John Henderson and Sarah Diamond moved to Allagash, Maine. There is a William England buried in Connors, New Brunswick b.1826 d. 6 Aug 1902 age 76. His wife Rachel is buried there also, she died 25 Feb 1895. There is also: Infant son of Charles and Ellen England, d. 16 July 1889.

Other names in this little cemetery are:

John Connors 1825-1891 (my G Grandfather), who married Ellen Henderson, dau of John Henderson and Sarah Diamond

John Morrison d. 6 Sept 1885 65 years.

Stephen Hafey b. 30 Aug 1822 d. 27 Jan 1891
Mary Belle Hafey (His Wife) 11 Sept 1827 d.15 July 1917.

Bertha Jones 3 yrs. dau of Charles and Mary(Connors)Jones
d. 3 Dec 1889

Jenny May Jones 5 yrs. dau of John and Eunice(West)Jones d.21 Mar 1883

John Jones d.13 Mar 1907, 82 yrs 3 mo 13 days.

others; Davenport,Russell, Thomas, Bran, Stripes, Cooper, Wright, O'Hara-Gibson,

John Henderson and George Henderson are my GG and GGG Grandfathers.

John Henderson is buried in Allagash, Maine. I do not know where George and Nancy(Taylor) Henderson are buried. Maybe in Chatham or New Castle. I would also like to know if they had other children besides John Henderson, if anyone knows any information about them I would sure appreicate hearing from them. Thanks Carol Pelletier, St. Francis, Me.
