I wonder if anyone has info or is even related to my gg grandfather, Christian "Miller" Anderson. I only know that he came from Denmark and lived in Spring City where his son was born (Peter Christian Anderson). He helped with building the Manti temple, his name is on the plaque, and I remember my grandma showing it to me when I was very young. Sadly, Peter and his son, my Grandfather all died young. I never met any of them. Just want to know if anyone knew of them or where I could look for info. Thank you very much.

Our group is collecting histories of Spring City folks to be put in a small library area. I will check out your names but need to know how long they were here. Many people were here and everyone in some families left so none here would be related or would be a different last name. Where are they buried? Did your grandmother remarry? I have copies of cemetery records but they don't go back real far. FamilySearch.org is a good place to look for clues, family sheets, submitters, etc.

Kaye,
Sorry I haven't had time to do this for a while and didn't see your post. I will share what little I know. Christian "Miller"(sanpete nickname) Anderson and his wife, Rica are buried in Payson, Utah. I believe Peter Christian is buried in Spanish Fork. The family of "Miller" relocated to Carbon county before 1904, when a child was born there. (Ernest C. Anderson 12/07/1904). The family had ten children. One of them is buried in Mt. Pleasant (Arnold Gotheal Anderson b. 12/18/1896 Spring City, Utah. d; 5/17/1962 Mt. Pleasant). "Miller" and Rica Madsen were married in 1884 in Spring City. This is about all of the info I have, except the names of Peter Christian's brothers and sisters....
Nettie Marie
Elnora Deortea
Neveland
Arnold Gotheal
Virgil Milan
Evangaline Caroline
Oressa Merilla
Ernest C.
Rachel Mildred

It is quite possible that the spellings are not correct.
Peter Christian's children are: Vera, Howard C. and Mabel
Hope this is of some help.

Christian Miller Anderson and Rica Madsen are my great, great grandparents on my mother's side. Grandpa Christian was a sherriff in Carbon County. I have other info if you are interested. My Great grandmother was their daughter Evangaline Caroline who's married name is Davis.

I just stumbled on to your post. Although I realize you posted it several years ago, I thought I would add what I know. My grandmother was Elnora Christina Anderson. (One of the children listed in one of the other posts.) She married James Averett and lived in Clear Creek for several years and then Price. She died in 1969. Her brother Virgil lived in Sunnyside, Utah and died in the late 1960's.

Nora and James had 5 children: May Averett Snow, Ruth Averett Seever, Zella Averett Wiseman, Ida Averett Llewelyn, Frank Averett and Doris Averett Llewelyn. Doris was my mother. Unfortunately all of these people have died.

I am happy to see someone who is related to the family. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who had an interest. If you are willing to share anything at all, I would be so happy. Do you know any stories or have any photos or anything? Sorry it took so long to answer. I did not see this.

How nice to hear from you. It has been several years. Thank you for letting me know about your grandmother and Virgil. I find it all very fascinating and wish I knew more about that side of my family. Wouldn't it be interesting if all of us could work up some sort of meeting/reunion or something?
