Several Bartz in my line - any connections?

My grandmother was Ella Bartz, born March 1894. Her father was Daniel Frederic Bartz Born in Prussia 1849 and married to Amelia Bosschn. Daniel's father, my gg grandfather was Johan F. Bartz, born in Prussia 1816 married to Wilhelmina (no last name?). They moved to Marquette Co. Wisconsin from Prussia in the 1860's. Does anyone have any link to this line? I have names of several brothers and sisters of Daniel Bartz - Augustus, Juliana and Wilhelmina. My grandmother's siblings were William, Herman, Rudolph, Minnie and Adolph. Sorry this is long but maybe I connect with someone? I do have some more information on these people if anyone is interested.

Do you know where in Prussia your relatives were born? Your names are similar or match some that my ggrandfather talked about. He was possibly the son of a Johann Bartz. He was the youngest of many children. Does Rummelsburg, Germany ring a bell? (Presently today's Miastko, Poland.)

Sue, I don't have a location in Prussia. The papers that I have just say that JoHan was born in Prussia in 1816. His children were Daniel Fredric, Augustus, Juliana and Wilhelmina. Doe that help any?

Cheryl, that sounds like it could be my line
as well. My gg grandmother, Juliana Bartz,
was born in Prussia 18 June 1834. She married
Wilhelm Ulrich in Princeton, Green Lake Co.,
Wisconsin in 1859. I would love to know what
information you have - our family has been
stuck at Juliana for a while!

Sorry it took awhile to get back to you. Looks like we must have a different Juliana? Mine married a Fref Franke on March 5, 1878. I don't have a date of birth but it looks she was born in Marquette Co., Wisconsin. This looks to be all I have on her. Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

That looks to be the very close to the info I have. Johan, his wife Wilhelmina, their first child, Fredric was born in Prussia after that Augstus, Juliana and Wilhelmina were born in Marquette County. I don't have a record of siblings or relation that came over with them. If you find any more info, please let me know. Thanks.

Silm chance, but there may be a connection...and I'd be happy to explore further.

Here's what I can tell you about my maternal grandmother:

Anna Helen Little (Bartz/Butzy).
The 1911 hand-written ship manifest lists the last name as “Butzy”.
Years later, the typewritten naturalization papers list the last name as “Bartz”.

Born Skole, Galicia, 20 January 1902.
Parents Oswald and Wilhelmina

Oswald died sometime between ’02 and ’11.

On 15 November 1911, Anna, her mom, several sisters and one brother boarded the S.S. Brandenburg in Bremen, Germany.

1 December 1911, they arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

3 December 1911, they arrived in Chicago, Illinois.
According to the ship manifest papers, her family was to meet a relative in Chicago. The name was Karol Butzy, residing at 1404 W. Erie.

Anna resided in Chicago until the early 1930’s.
Following a brief marriage, bearing three children, and a divorce, she and her children moved to Midland, Texas.
She had limited contact with several of her sisters, who remained in Chicago.
