Dear Clanfolk:

Which Scottish Games and Gatherings are you intending to
attend this year?

What is your favorite and why?

Which events will you be able to come forth and volunteer a few hours at the clan tent? Contact the convenor in your area. No Clan tent at events near you? Contact any on our Executive Board and volunteer to help.

Not sure which events are in your area? Consult the most
comprehensive games listing on the Internet:

http://www.scottishinfo.org/scottish.htm

Know of an event (anywhere in the world) that is not listed? (Scottish/Irish/Celtic Festival, Gathering & Games, Tattoo, Tartan Day celebration) Know of changes to an event -- dates, location, admission, etc? Please email Kevin McLachlan, Games Listing Steward, at editor@scottishinfo.org Kevin compiled and maintains this
listing.

Confido!

Dear Cousins:

Won't you join Michael, Sally, Kevin and I at the 12 Annual Loch Lomond Highland Games and Celtic Gathering this Saturday? The event begins at 10am and goes til 6pm. It is one of my favorites. It is only a one day event. The venue is lovely. Highland Park is in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, just miles up the road from the Pacific Ocean and among the redwoods.

This year, Clan Cian and the Irish are being honored. Come out and help us celebrate! Join us in the clan march, spend time at the tent meeting your clanfolk and learning about Boyd history. I have managed to fit a considerable amount of stuff in the Saturn, but not nearly what the truck held! However, there will be Boyd books and other reference materials as well as photos of Boyd castles, tee shirts and.... our new sterling silver cap badges! We commissioned them exclusively for House of Boyd and they are not available through any vendor or elsewhere. They are quite nice, even if I do say so myself!

More information and directions will be found here:
http://www.lochlomondceltic.org/games.htm

Also-- Seamus O'More of Clan Cian and I are the people responsible to put on the Official Ceilidh for this event. Do plan on joining us after the games on the property next door. Jim Boyd's famous Mulligan Stew is featured each year, among other savory items.

Come on out and have some fun! This is the last event for Northern California this year... except the Kirkin' o' the Tartan in Sacramento.

See you at the games!

Lauren
