In the 1891 Census, Walter age 73, says he was born in NS, his father in Ireland and his mother in England.

In the 1891 Census, Abel Wall age 68, reports his father was born in England and his mother in England.

I think your right on being brothers, they lived next door to one another in the 1860 Census. Walter and Jane are in Truro in the 1871 Census, with eight children. John R. and William J.may be twins, John dies in 1876. Abel,(the son) marries 1906.
Esther seems to be the eldest child, born 1848, marries 1871.
Interesting family.

I have confirmed that Abel and Walter were brothers -- their father was William Wall who lived in the McLean Settlement -- Kemptown, NS area. There seems to be a connection to the Walls who settled in PEI -- I believe it was a Redmond Wall who first settled there -- his son Isaac moved to Nova Scotia.

Would anyone have any further info???
