In the Griffith Valuation of 1855 there was neither surname in Co. Clare used as a census subsitute 1846-1875 depending on the county.

Many Purdy's in a variety of Counties but only 2 Muldragh's
both in Callymore, Corlus, Co. Armagh

The Tithe records 1820-30 are another valuation for taxes
and is available from the www.nationalarchives.ie for personal research and online with Ancestry.com

There are 0 Purdy's or Muldragh's in the Co. Clare telephone book

1901/11 Census www.census.nationalarchives.ie NO Purdy or Muldragh in Clare.

Corlust is a townland in both Armagh, Parish Ballymore, Union Banbridge and Monaghan, Monaghan Parish, Union Monaghan.

Ballyshiel was not in place names for Clare:

Ballyshiel Beg and Ballyshiel More both Townlands and both are close to Co. Clare but are in the Parish of Ballmore,Armagh.

There is also a Ballyshiel in Co. Offaly in a part that is now Co. Clare. 1975 An Irish Quarterly Review.
