Looking for more info and kin to LATTURE and ALLEN.
Samuel H. LATTURE and 1st wife Margaret Jane ALLEN had a
daughter Elizabeth (Bettie) Jane LATTURE. She married Otis S.ROGERS. Elizabeth and Otis are my Ggrandparents both are buried at Dogwood Cemetery in Griffithville,Ark. They lived in Dogwood Township.Elizabeth died in 1902 age 32.

Are you still seeking information? Margaret Jane Allen is the sister of my ancester, James Madison Allen. Their parents are Benjamin B Allen and Frances "Frankie" Boman.
I don't know Benjamin's parents, but Frankie's parents are Lorenzo Dow Boman and Nancy Baker(supposed to be 1/2 Indian)
The Allen story is that the Allens came from Wales. Benjamin and Frankie lived in LimRock, Jackson County, alabama.
I am a descendent of the line that came to Texas.

Years back a man told me Margaret Jane ALLEN's parents are Benjamin Blanton ALLEN b.abt.1817 Ga. and died December 31, 1906 in Jackson County, Alabama and was married to Mary ISBELL b.April 03, 1823 in Jackson County, Alabama and died December 31, 1898 in Jackson County, Alabama.
I have them with 10 children and one is also named James Madison ALLEN. I have James Madison ALLEN married to Francis Barnilla BOWMAN.

Maybe we should compare info and census etc. I want to get this right! :)
