My ggg-grandfather Sethbabe Harris married Olive Marsh. They were both born about 1805 in Surry Co., NC. They had 10 children--first 7 born in Surry Co., NC; last 3 born in Allegheny Co., NC. Then they moved to Grayson Co., VA and finally to Wythe Co., VA. That's where I am and the rest of our Harris line continued. I have quite a lot of detail. If you think this is a connection of yours, let me know--I'd be happy to share.

Any connection to SAMPSON MAYNARD, born in Wilkes Co., NC who took the family north to Pike, KY and Wayne, W VA about 1800 and passed through Bristol, VA/TN toward "Wilderness Road" of D Boone fame. Some of Sampson's relatives may have still been around Boone, NC area in 1800?

My ggg-grandparents were also Sethbabe "Seth" & Olive "Ella". I am decended from their son Robert Jefferson Harris and have alot of genealogy pertaining...Sethbabe's parents were Robert & Dicey. Trying to confirm parents of Robert. Have speculation but no actual proof.
