John was born abt 1823 in Ireland, Honoria (Nora) Dolan was born abt 1834 in Ireland. They are supposed to have had 9 children. The names I have so far Michael, Helen (Ellen), Daniel, Edward. Daniel married Mary Tormey, and had 2 children Mary Bridget and Edward.

I don't think there is a tie here. My sketchy background shows my John marrying Mary McCabe, both from Ireland, going to Quebec (Richmond/Sherbrooke) Canada and having children Michael born approx 1855 and William born ?? and perhaps more. The boys migrated from Quebec out west: Michael to Colorado marrying Bridget Duffy and William to Texas..I just don't have anything on John and Mary. John's name might even be Joseph. I wish I had more. Thanks

John Guinan of Kingston was my Grandmother's Grandfather. Her Father was James who moved to Geneva, NY and married Margaret Ahern. My Grandmother was one of 8. Her name was Nell( we always had a debate about her real name-Ellen or Helen!) My family lives in the Rochester area and I live in Connecticut. I am one of 7. My Father, Robert Walsh had 4 siblings. Three are living. What is your connection to the Guinan's? My cousin did an extensive search several years ago. However, I do not have the documentation. Her name is Sheila Walsh Richter. I have seen her postings on other genealogy boards. Trish

Honoria Nora Dolan (1835 - 1898)was my GG Grandmother. Her son Michael Guinan (1855 - 1917) was my G Grandfather and his son Francis T. Guinan (1901 - 1986) was my Grandfather. My father, James Guinan, son of Francis T, has told me that he believes John was murdered on his barge and Michael tookover the business. I have not found any records indicating what happened. My family lives in Binghamton, NY area and I live in Virginia
