Lily Madeline LERNAN b.1893c County Longford Ireland.Was in W.Australia,Kalgoorlie in 1916,employed as barmaid. She had a son b.1919 in Perth. He was brought up by Nicholas family.Found this out after he had died.Lily married late in Life.When did she come to Australia? Would be grateful if someone could lookup Arrivals in NSW and Vic. Can't find in W.A. arrivals.
She had a sister Agnes who m.1926 in Sydney to John SMITH.

Sorry, Unable to locate Lily Lernan name in Co Clare in 1901 who was born in Co Longford.
Check out Lilly Lerhinan in 1901 census for Clonwhite South,Co Clare who was born in Co Longford in 1889.

Thankyou. It is a possibility as she changed her name a few times.Julia Agnes could be the sister here named Agnes.
Is there anywhere I can look up ships passengers who left Ireland ?

No official records exist for Irish people leaving Ireland prior to 1922 as we were part of the United Kingdom.
Most Irish people emigrating to Australia in 1901/1911 would have gone to England first via domestic ships before making the big jump to Australia.
Lilly's surname is central to finding her family & information.
I have no information on Lily Lernan or Lilly Lerhinan emigrating. However records exist for Rowland Lernan/Lerhinan born in County Longford circa 1887 who gave Clonawhite,Co Clare as his home address when he joined the Irish Guards Regiment in Liverpool and died in the first world war in 1918. You might have some luck checking official records of passengers on board ship in Britain called information sheet 31 from the Maritimes Archives & Library. Search the internet for information sheet 31 passengers.

have found Lilyand family in 1901 census.In 1911 she was not there. Rowland is her brother.Then found Agnes,lily's sister leaving Liverpool for Fremantle in 1912,she would have only been 16.Have'nt found lily ???Thankyou for your help,would not have known of the places to search for Cesus.

I had a quick look on the Public Records Office of Victoria online index under both Lernan & Lerhinan & didn't see anything. But you might like to search there yourself using other spelling combinations -
