Hi Sherry,

Found something else for you this morning.
A child born to Percy & Viva in NB

Thelma Mae Keddy
b: jul 1 1934 St. John, NB
d: Aug 24 1934 St. John, NB
father : Seymour Keddy of NS
mother: Viva Addison (Bushey) of NS

Also based on the birth record for Viva, it was stated the applicant Bernard R. Bushey was her brother - so I checked and found a marriage record for him

Bernard Russell Bushey (b: c1897 Freeport, NS)
married to Eleanor Frances Gilbert on January 13th, 1926 in Digby CO.

THey were both of the Baptist Religion. He is listed as the son of David Bushey from Weymouth? and Mary (possibly THurston?)
ELeanor Frances his wife, daughter of Ellwood Gilbert and (cant make it out)

Im not sure what you need, or have...but hope this information is helpful

Another child born to the Bushey family, which clears up some of the ? I had in my previous post

George Henry Bushey b: Aug 7 1887 in Freeport, Digby Co., NS
father: David Bushey (born Belliveau Cove, NS)
mother: Mary C. (Catherine) Thurber (clears up the "Thurston" I thought)

The Mother Mary C. Bushey (Thurber) made the application herself which tells us in 1948 that David Bushey was already deceased.

Here is a death record, for a son of George Henry Busheys (Brother to Viva)

https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ItemView.aspx?ImageFile=...

and a death record for Viva's father, David Bushey

https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ItemView.aspx?ImageFile=...

Which shows us he was born Jan 16, c 1861 (Based on his age at death) He is stated again from Belliveau Cove, NS.
Lists his father as David Bushey Sr. from Sherbrooke, Quebec and mother unknown from Cork, Ireland.

Informant is stated to be Earl, another son of his.

Dont know if your interested in the KEDDY Ancestry or not
Here is the marriage record for Percy Seymour Keddys parents

William Abner Keddy & Cassie May Jessop.

Also obituary

"Keddy, Theodore M. - At home on March 13, 1998, Theodore Malcolm of Hickey Road, passed away.
"Born in Saint John, son of Viva (Bushey) and the late Seymour Keddy. He had been a career Soldier with the Canadian Armed Forces as well as serving in the Korean War and was a member of Branch 14 Royal Canadian Legion. In addition to his mother he is survived by his long time companion, Edith Fleet, a son Daniel of Chalk River, Ontario, and a daughter, Karen Clouthier and her husband Kim of Petawawa, Ontario, two sisters, Carole Keddy of Saint John and Evelyn Jones and her husband Kenneth of Essex, Mass, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and a niece and a nephew."

Found this interesting as I have a Fleet tie in NS in my tree. Also to point out I live in Petawawa, Ontario which is just 10-15 up the road from Chalk River,.

Here is the marriage record for David Bushey and Mary Thurber, (Viva's parents) surname incorrectly entered as Butcher.

Thanks so much for and and all your information. I have some info, but anything you send will be helpful as I am looking for 2-3 documents (like birth, death, marriage records) to prove each piece of data before I will give it to my friend for whom I am trying to help discover her father's biological parents' genealogy. I have searched for months on ancestry as well as through the few documents my friend had and the internet as a whole and the only Viva Bushey that comes close to being the biological mother is the Viva who married Keddy. If I ever find Viva and Seymour Percy Keddy's marriage certificate I think I can prove or rule out this Viva and you never know where mention of that marriage date will come from, so thanks again. Take Care, Sherry
