I'm looking for information on the children of Walter Perkins and Elizabeth Damrel. Permilia E Perkins and Lydia Perkins. They had two boys that I already have info on; can't seem to find out what happened to the girls. They are in the 1880 census of Vernon Parish.

I have just started work on mother's line.. G-Grandmother was Lydia Perkins married to Barney Thompson All lived in Vernon Parish and I think were buried in Occupy One or Occupy Two Cemetaries located in Vernon Parish.. Lydia was stepmother to my grandmother--this was a second marriage for Barney Thompson..Maybe this will give you a direction in which to look...

I have just begun a search of my wife's roots. She had a Nancy Perkins, b. 1856, d.1888, buried in Vernon Parish. She was married to Amadee James, b.1859, d.08/08/18 in Vernon Parish. Amadee's parents were, George James b. New York 1822, Mother Nancy b.1830 in Louisiana. Nancy and Amadee had 1 son I am sure of. George Washington James, b. 07/05/1881 in La. d. 04.12/1926 in Vernon Parish. Hope this helps. If it fits, please share what you haveregarding Nancy Perkins. Thank You, Jim

Wm Penn Hagan married Lula Johnson d/o James Stuart Johnson. I have visited the grave site of Wm Penn and Lula at the Glass Window Cemetary in Vernon Parish. Have emailed with other Hagan family members concerning burial place of Sarah W. Shawver Johnson, mother of James Stuart Johnson. If you are interested in this line I will share info.

I am very interested in learning more about my great-great-grandmother, Sarah Johnson. Lula Johnson and William Penn Hagan are my grandparents. I am the daughter of their youngest daughter, Burnice Elaine Hagan Cowan. My name is Cheryl Elaine Cowan Laucher (nickname "Cherry").
I was told that Sarah Johnson came to the US from Ireland. Is that true?
Thanks!!
