Looking for info on the following people; Ollie Ole McCracken & wife Hilda Mae Cassens McCracken, Ruth McCracken, Donald William McCracken, Norman & Margaret Wydle McCracken. If you are connected to any of these people please email me at donnabum@excite.com. I have been researching my family history for a long time, I recently got these names from my grandmother but she had no dates or details. I would appreciate any help.

Hi Penny,
Unfortunately no it doesn't. My Ruth's maiden name would have been McCracken. Thanks anyway though!

I too am looking for information regarding Norman McCracken. My great grandfather, William Hewitt McCracken had several brothers and sisters. From census records taken from the Portland Public Library, we know one of the brother's name was Norman. We also know that he was born October 6, 1884 in Nez Perce County, Idaho.

Some of his siblings were Fredrick Victor McCracken, Lorenzo McCracken, Effie Adelaid McCracken, John Sherman McCracken and Frank McCracken. I have found other sources that say there were several more...but I haven't found any evidence to prove it.

I am from the line of James and Mary McCracken. Their son, Nimrod McCracken would be my great, great, great grandfather. If you should find any information in your search...please feel free to send me an e-mail. I hope your Norman is our Norman!

Later -

Robert William McCracken

Penny, your reply rings bells for me. I am cousins to your ex's family. I would be interested in exchanging any family info on that family.
