Seeking Loyalist Provisioning List for Nova Scotia

Surnames: MERRIT/T
In my husband's ancestry, there is a David T. Merrit, b. abt. 1785 who lived in Marlborough, Ulster Co, NY. However, in the NY State census of 1855, he states that he was born in Nova Scotia.
I believe he is descended from the Merritts of Westchester Co, NY. What I'm thinking is that his parents were Loyalists who fled to Nova Scotia, returning to NY shortly after he was born and settling in Ulster Co. among other Westchester Merritts.
I would like to learn whether there are any Merrit(t)s on the Loyalist Provisioning Lists for Nova Scotia who might be this family. Is there anywhere online I can see those lists?

Julie, I'm afraid you'd have to go back to before 1800 in your family history to be able to see if there's any connection.
