Interested in all information about Webster and Duke families in Robertson County, TN. From what I have been able to determine: Abraham, Richard, Charles and then my grandmother Iva Marie Wester.

I have a Josephine Elizabeth Webster who married JameS Richard Coats in Robertson Co TN 1806. Her father was John W. Webster. She had a sister Hannah Webster who married Peyton Madison, two brothers, John w., Jr. and William Webster. You think these might also be your Websters?

These are my great-great-grandparents. Another question I would like to ask, do you know of a Dr.B.H. Webster and how he is connected to Abraham and Margaret Webster? Dr. Webster was from Nashville, Tn. He was interviewed by a lady one time about a Prayer Book that was supposed to belong to Martin True, from whom Margaret is decended. Do you know anything about this Prayer Book?? Any information we can share would be greatly appreciated. ARCHIE STONE

My Great-grandmother was Nancy Loretta Duke and her father was George M. Duke. According to family stories he was called Yancy and he was a territorial judge in the Birmingham area. If you run across these people please let me know. Joyce

I am looking for Abraham Webster of Greenbrier, Robertson County, TN. He was born 11 Feb 1792 in PA, died 26 May 1879. Do you know if your John W. Webster had a brother by this name. Looking for Abraham Webster's parents name. Abraham was married to Margaret True.

The Webster and Gilbert families were together from Maryland in their migration west, and were also intermarried. On Jan. 22, 1799 tracing the route of my Gilbert family, John Webster, Samuel Webster, Edward Webster,Isom Treadway, Sr., John Gilbert and William Byrd signed a petition concerning the boundary lines and difficulty in traveling to Court. They were moving to Robertson County. Thomas Felix Gilbert, a constable of Buncombe Co., NC in 1790, named his sons, Thomas Webster Gilbert and George Webster Gilbert. My 3rd great-grandfather was Webster Gilbert of Robertson Co., TN. as was William Treadway, father of the above Isom Treadway, Sr.

Do you have documentation on this? I would love to see you information. I have found a Richard Webster receiving a military land grant in what is now Robertson or Montgomery County, TN and used to be listed as Tennessee County.
