Julia R Wentworth

The 1860 Federal Census show Julia R Wentworth as a member of the household of Leonard Wentworth in Hope, Knox County, Maine. She is shown as 15 years old (born about 1845).

Leonard and his brother Artist married sisters, Mary and Almira Arnold respectively. After several children were born to each marriage, Leonard's wife Mary died as did his brother Artist. Subsequently, Leonard and Almira were married and the members of each family remaining at home were merged into a single family.

Neither of the families had a Julia R Wentworth in the previous Census. Does anyone know who Julia's parents were? I have looked through the volumes of the Wentworth Genealogy; English and American (the 3 volume set) without success and done several searches again without success.

Can anyone help me identify Julia R Wentworth?

As near as I can tell, Julia was a member of the household of Leonard age 64 and Almira age 52.
Others were Ellen age 20, William A., age 19, George age 17, and Nelson age 12.
So I would say the parents of Julia were Leonard and Almira.
My paternal gg grandmother was Waitstill.

I would agree if there were any other evidence of Julia as a child either Leonard or Artist. Julia appears as a member of the household in a single census and does not show anywhere else including "The Wentworth Genealogy; English and American". The others shown in the household appear in other records and their relationships are well established. My supposition is that Julia was a relative who was taken into the family but I can not find her elsewhere.

Leonard was my paternal gg grandfather.
