Hello, does anyone have any knowledge of the following families from the Cherokee Co, AL 1880 census? Or any TANNER family from Cherokee Co, AL. I am searching for information on my grandfather, John TANNER b AL 1862-64.

Listed on the same page and two houses away was another TANNER family:

My great grandmother was Millie Tanner born June 1872 - have no date of death. Married Andrew Jackson "Jack"
Estes July 31, 1892. They had 13 children as best I can tell of which one, Lawton General Estes b.July 19, 1898 was my grandfather. They lived in Felton, Georgia or around Haralson County, Georgia. Hope this helps some.

Andrew Jackson "Jack" Estes was my great grandfather. His yougest son, Vic Estes, from his first marriage was my grandfather.
Was always told that AJ was the father of 26 children, but have only found the names of 23.
Would love to exchange information with anyone researching this family.

I am looking for info re a Mary Ann Estes that was
married to Benjamin Franklin Fielder. They married-7-Oct-1855-
in Tennessee. They moved as a young married couple with
their first baby in a prairie schooner pulled by a span of horses
from Maury Co, Tenn and ended up in a little village of log cabins,
on Nov-17, 1853. That was the town of Springfield, Greene Co,
Mo. Benjamin's brother T.F.Fielder and his wife and baby, accompanied them. Both couples married less then two years
were searching for a new home. Benjamin whom was born-7-Feb-1825- in either Maury or Hickman Co, Tenn. Died 4-Dec-1914- Springfield, Greene Co Mo. He was known as the oldest
Mason in Missouri and was also known as "Uncle Ben" to
hundreds of people in the county. He was also one of the
pioneers of Greene County '. After his wife Mary Ann Estes died
he then later marrried Mary Susan Barnes. They also had four
children. Benjamin was very instrumental in carpentry and
farming '. He was nearly ninty years of age at the time of his
death .
Mary Ann (Estes) Fielder died -April- 1863- Springfield,
Greene Co, Mo. They had four children. Their youngest child
Andrew John Fielder was my g-grandfather, whom married
Ida M. Stiff-2-Aug-1888-in Galloway, Mo.
Would like to hear from family or anyone that has any
information to share '.

Forgot the number one rule of posting messages - dates and places.

A J Estes was born 1839 in Meriwether County, GA. Married Vernon Malissie Clark Nichols 1864 in Harris County, GA and about 1867-68 moved to Cherokee County, AL.
He divorced Vernon in the 1880's and Married Millie Tanner 1892 in Haralson County, GA.

We have photos of Vernon, A J & Millie plus some of children, grandchildren and several generations. Will share/exchange information with anyone interested.
