Woodhull--Walter L. Swan, 92, of Addison RD 2, (Freeman) died Tuesday at his home unexpectedly.
He was born 01 Dec 1877, in the Town of Tuscarora. He was the son of Lyman and Martha Wells Swan. He was a retired laborer for the Town of Tuscarora. He also drove a school bus at one time. He was a life member of Freeman Grange, NO. 859. (01 Sep 19700
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. DeForrest Simons of Painted Post RD 2 and Mrs. Ava Smith of Addison RD 2; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Sprague of Bradford, PA; 12-grandchildren and 7-great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the H. P. Smith and Son Funeral Home in Woodhull. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30pm with the Rev. Cyrus Sprague, officiating.
Burial will be in the Baxter Cemetery, Town of Tuscarora.

Freeman--The funeral of Mrs. Maud Goodwin Swan of Freeman was held at Mayer Funeral Home in Addison 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon and burial was made in the Baxter Cemetery on East Hill.
Prayer services were held at the home at 1 o'clock with Rev. J. V. Axtell officiating. Bearers were Walter Busby, Rush Woodbeck, Harry Hillyard, Bert Simons, Robert Putnam, Enos Nichols, all members of the Grange. The floral offerings were profuse.
Deceased was a member of the Tuscarora Baptist Church, living on the adjoining farm for over twenty years. She was a member of the Choir and a leader in the Sunday School and Ladies Aid Society also active in the Freeman Baptist Church, the Home Bureau and the Grange serving for a long period as lecurer and as Drill Team Master. She held office of Chaplain up to the time she was ill. Walter Lyman Swan and Maude L. Goodwin had the following children:

LEE D. ROGERS

ADDISON - Lee D. Rogers, 74, of Nelson, Pa. RD1, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his son Clyde in Nelson.

Born in West Union Township Oct. 25, 1888, he was the son of Jackson and Frances Moore Rogers. He married the late Hazel Swan in 1909.

He was a retired employe of the Elkland Tannery.

Survivors, other than his son, are four daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Wilson of Holyoke, Mass., Mrs. Leah VanZile of Elmira, Mrs. Frances Mather of Addison and Mrs. Clarabelle Benjamin of Addison; 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

The body is at the Ackerson Funeral Home in Addison where friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Saturday at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Russell of Elkland, Pa., officiating. Burial will take place in Baxter Cemetery, Elkland RD. Hazel Swan and Lee D. Rogers had the following children:

BATH, NY - James L. Swan, age 89, Bath, NY, died Wednesday, Aug 17, 2005 at the Taylor Health Care Center in Bath.
He was born Aug 10, 1916, in Nelson, PA the son of Curtis and Isabelle Brennan Swan.
He was retired from Ragu Company in Rochester, NY
He graduated from high school from Elkland, PA and attended Bucknell University.
He is survived by one daughter, Sibyl A. Brewer of Bath, NY; two sons, Allen (Judith) Swan of Bath, NY and J. Daryl (Ivelysse) Swan of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his son Ronald Swan and sister Mary Sibyl.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug 19 at 2pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath. Rev. Jeff McDowell, officiated.
Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, PA.
