Hi
I am looking for a Charles ACERS according to the 1881 census, a Charles ACRES according to 1891 census, a Charles HACKERS according to his marriage certificate or maybe last name ACKERS, or AKERS, according to the childrens last names.
Charles was born in "Oxford" according to both census information.
There is no father information on the marriage certificate.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
The only info I have is a marriage certificate of Charles HACKERS age 29 then of Heston Middlesex, dated 21 Sept 1873.
There is no father listed.
I have the same Charles ACERS on the 1881 census b Oxford.
I also know there was a son James HACKERS b 1869 in Harefield Middlesex who died 1946.
I would like to know if you have come across any connections to these people.

Hi
I do not think I am looking for a McKinney.
I wonder why you think this might be the right person?
It is certanly interesting to see the use of this middle name and wonder if you know Charles' mother's name. The middle name can oftern be the mother's last name!
Looking forward to hearing more.

my g-grandfather was charles pate mckinney born1855. he had a son by his first marriage ,i don"t know her name , but
i believe he was widowed. they had a son charles ackers
mckinney, who went by his middle name ackers. i"ll call him c.a. ,his half brother was my grand-father joseph pate mckinney who was born in 1884. c.a. was born in 1886.
our family wonders where the name ackers came from.
i suppose it could be c.a. real mother"s maiden name was ackers.

Hi again
A really interesting story that I only wish would make your ca my forebearer, but I know from the 1881 and 1901 census records that my Charles was born about 1843 at Henley, Oxon.
Oh Well I will have to keep looking.

I am doing research into the 'Hackers' surname. There are 2 x Charles Hackers in the family tree. Perhaps there can be a connection.
