I'm living in wayne county at the moment. I'm familiar with alot of the Reeves/Reaves gravesites around this area. If there is anything I can do to help look up this person, I'll gladly lend a hand.
William Reaves was the father of:
Adam, John, Jesse, William, Laddy, Stephen,
Elizabeth, Peggy, Lovett and Lee.
Lovett was the father of Lovett, Joseph,
Reuben, Matthew and Fannie Jane (Smith, who
was the grandmother of Bear Bryant)
Joseph was the father of Capt. Amaziah Briggs
Reaves (b.5/18/1830, d. 12/30/1905 in Warren,
Capt. Reaves was the father of Joe Reaves, Sr
who was the father of:
Joe Reaves, Jr.
Teddie May Reaves
Lovett McLeod Reaves
All of the above are deceased. Lovett M.
Reaves was my father.
Did you get my previou email saying that I
have a copy of the William Reaves will, c.1790?
Hello, I noticed that you have the name of Jesse Reaves in your posting from Wayne County NC. My great-grandfather's name was Jesse Reaves. He had sons named Clyde Reaves(who operated a fertilizer company in Wayne County), Ray Johnson, John Robert Reaves, and a daughter named Dot Reaves Carter. John Robert Reaves was my grandfather (b.1/20/1920, d. 1998). Can you make a connection between this Jesse, my ggfather, and the Jesse you listed. I am assuming that because of the 1790 date on the will of William Reaves that his son Jesse would have been several generations before my ggfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The will of William Reaves of Wayne County,
NC should be found on pages 698 and 699 in
the courthouse of Wayne County. I only have
the lineage that came down in my family thru
his son Lovett, which also happened to be my
own father's name. There should be a lot of
Reaves as William had 10 children...8 of whom
were males. They were Adam, John, Jesse,
William, Laddy, Stephen, Lovett and Lee.
I'M LOOKING FOF ANY INFORMATION ABOUT MY GRANDFATHER JOHN WILLIAM REAVES BORN 1881 IN
LINCOLN COUNTY SON OF FRANK AND SALLY MURPHY
Saw in your email that you live in WayneCo,TN. Would appreciate any help concerning Drewry REEVES (REAVES)(b:Abt 1804) and wife, Hannah PULLEY REEVES (b:Abt1810). Is there a REEVES or PULLEY cemetary in that county? 1860 Census Records show them with the following children in their household: Cornelious, James C., Timothy. Best Regards...email@example.com
