I have a lot of Reeder's in my research from Miami, Cass, Pulaski, and Lake County. I have found that this last name is spelled in so many different ways. Ex: Reder, Reader, Rader, Rider, and Reeder. I've been able to track Reeder's in this area from 1841 and onward. If you have any Q's please post.

Looking for info on:

George Franklin Reeder: circa 1858 married Anna Edwards b. 12/62 in Indiana - married about 1882 with eldest son William Arthur Reeder being born in 1883, apparently in Michigan. George died about 1893 and Anna remarried a William Bellinger - found living in Reed City, MI in 1900. I believe George was born in Indiana as well but I have no other information to go on.

William Arthur Reeder married Carrie Reed d/o George and Eva Reed - Reed City. They lived in Chase, Lake County, MI in the early 1900s. Any help linking these Reeders to the ones you have would be much appreciated.

My dad was George Melvin Reeder born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 15, 1924 to George Reeder & Thelma Ruth McNabb. My dad had 1 full sister, Arlene, born in 1925. My dad passed away in 1990. He often mentioned his Uncle Archie, Uncle Charlie, Aunt Minnie...
He also mentioned several times that his Gramma Anna came to Michigan from Indiana on a covered wagon. I have never heard the middle name Franklin mentioned. Maybe I just assumed all the George Reeders in his family had the middel name Melvin...?
