Hi, I am looking for on the Campbell Family in
Pulaski Co. MO area in the middle 1800s. Specifically Joshua A. Campbell and Sara Elizabeth Kerbaugh married in Greene Co. Tennessee in 23 May 1853. Joshua and Sarah had 13 children. Their children were:

1. Elizabeth Emaline (Campbell) Morris, born 1854
2. Andrew Jackson Campbell, b. 1855
3. William Franklin Campbell b. 1857
4. Mary B. (Campbell) Parks b. 1860
5. Rosie Isabell (Campbell) Weaver b. 1861
6. George Marion Campbell b. 1863
7. Sarah Jane (Campbell) Whiteley b. 1865
8. Frances Ellen (Campbell) Smith b. 1867
9. Martha Campbell b. 1868
10. Harriet (Campbell) Barnes b. 1870
11. Margaret (Campbell) Ketchum b. 1871
12. Alfred Newton Campbell 1873
13. Louis Benjamin Campbell b. 1875 <<<<(My GGGF)>>>>

They moved to Tennessee in Late 1853 or 1854. They later moved to the Northwest (Whitman County) WA in late 1876-77. Appreciate any help you can provide. They spent a total of 25 or so years in the area. Some of the family I believe stayed and I see in the Pulaski County 1850 and 1860 Federal census that there were other relatives in the area.

Specifically, David and Barsheba Campbell they were Joshua's parents. David Campbell b.1793 and Barsheba (Carter) Campbell, b. 1797 were married 5 March 1818 in Greene Co. TN. They moved to Pulaski Co. before 1850. Other known Children of David and Barsheba's were:

1. Andrew Jackson b. abt 1818
2. Joshua b.1828
3. George b. abt 1832
4. Bethany b. abt 1833
5. James A. b. abt 1836
6. Elizabeth C. b. abt. 1838
7. Isaac b. abt 1839
8. Loranza D. b.abt. 1844

They were all born in Greene Co. TN.

Appreciate any contact from relatives. My email is:

Robert,

send me an e-mail with this information on it. I just MIGHT be able to take your Campbell family line on back to Ireland and then Scotland.

However, my own computer is down so will send the information back to you when it is up and running again.

In the mean time, you might find some information on your Carter - Campbell family lines in Hawkins Co., Tn.

Beth

Hi Robert,

In response to your post of Jan 20, 2002, which I just found, I wanted to send you the following.

In my database, I have Elizabeth Emaline Campbell, born May 20, 1854 in Cookville, Pulaski Co., MO, and died Feb 19, 1934 in Waynesville, Pulaski Co., MO. On Dec 3, 1873, she married Jacob Newton Manes (his second wife), who was born Aug 11, 1843 in Pulaski Co., MO, and died Apr 3, 1928 in Liberty twp, Pulaski Co., MO. I have digital copies of their death certificates. They had 7 children.

They are both buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery, south of Swedeborg, Pulaski Co., MO.

All I have on Elizabeth's family is her parents' names and birth locations, from her death certificate. Her father was Joshua Campbell, born in TN, and her mother was Sarah, also born in TN.

I am guessing that this is the same woman, and that she did not marry a Morris, or that was a first husband.

In recently moved back to Richland, and am pursuing local sources.
