Long-time Resident Of City Dies
Death came to a long-time Roswell resident, Mrs. H. L. Woods, 1725 N. Missouri, early today at St. Mary's Hospital. he had lived in Roswell 56 years.
Funeral Services are pending at Ballard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Woods was active in St. Peter Church here since her arrival in Roswell from Youngstown, Ohio, 56 years ago. She sange in the church choir until illness forced her retirement. She also was a member of the St. Peter Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband, H. L. Woods, whom she married in Roswell in October 1924. Her maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Bunn.
Five daughters survive. They are Mrs. Aileen Smith, Mrs. Catherine Smith and Mrs. Wilda Taylor, all of Roswell. Mrs. Ruedell Robinson of Albuquerque and Mrs. Mary Louise Mercer of Alexandria, Va.
Three sons, Joseph, Clyde and Lester Woods, preceeded her in death. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joe Woods of Las Cruces and Roswell, and a sister, Mrs. Teresa Bunn of Roswell also survive.
Mrs. Woods was a native of Baltimore, Md.

WOODS SERVICES
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Woods, 1725 N. Missouri, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the Ballard Chapel.
Celebrant for the Requiem Mass will be the Rev. Fr. Lambet Dannenfelser, O.F.M., paster of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hughes, Shelton Taylor, Richard Tigner, Charles Chewning, Charles Brown, Pat Owne, Phillip E. Ernst and Glaze Sacra.
