Looking for connections for my paternal grandmother.
Her dad was Hayes Hampton Daves, m'd Minnie Nelson.
Have some older info but looking for more personal info, not
just dates and stuff.
Minnie Nelson's family came (I think) from the Rutherfordton
area of NC. Very possible Hayes did too.
Thanks,
Sandy Hamilton

There is a Daves reunion every year near Rutherfordton in a little town called Dysaville. If you email me your address I will give my brother your information. Larry lives in Summerton, SC.

Dear Pat, I corresponded with your brother a few years ago, but do not remember what your family line is. I am still searching for the father of James Lovin/Loving Daves. His mother was Rebeka Vermillion Daves. She and her children were in Pontotoc and Loundes co,'s, MS in 1840's, then they went to TX. abt. 1847 James L. was born in AL. Do you have any info which might help me? Thanks. MMeaders

My Grandfather was born in Dysartsville, NC, and I attended a family reunion there many years ago, and remember someone, I think, Larry Daves, working on a Genealogy for the family. I am wondering if someone could email me with information re: how to obtain
a full genealogy, if available.
Thanks,
Richard Daves

Richard, do you still need info on the Dysartsville Daves'es? Larry Daves and his sister Evelyn Daves Robinson, wrote two books on their family, Lorenzo Dow Daves, (vol 1), abt Lorenzo and first wife, Millie Taylor. Vol 2, abt Lorenzo and his 2nd wife,Cecelia Catherine Teal. I have vol 2. This was several years ago, and have lost touch with him. E-mail me if you think I could help in some way. I am a descendent of Thomas Daves and Rachel Grayson DAves. Their son, Daniel Francis Marion Daves is my Great Grandfather, his son William Marion Daves is my maternal grandfather. Perhaps we are related through one of Daniel's siblings.
