My family originates in Caltigerone Sicily. My G Grandfather was Joseph Di Bella and he had 10-13 brothers and sisters. Some moved to south america others to Quebec Canada and then also in USA. My G grandmother's name was Emma Racine she was from northern Italy. They came to the united states in 1918 - 1920. If anyone knows anything please email me so we can chat.

Hi my name is Teresa.
I was a Di Bella. My Grandparents were from Catania Sicily. They came out to Australia in the early 1900's. I still have relations in Sicily by the surname Di Bella. They live near Mt Etna.

Hi I also have relations of the Di Bellas although they came from Giarre (at the bottom of etna) and i beleave before they settled in Giarre they were born in a town on the slopes of Etna. My relation who is still alive there is called Maria Di Bella and she has a sister called Lucia (who is my grandmother) and a brother (who moved to Australia - forgotten his name) and they now have children I think called Santo and Grace.

Hi Concetta,
I was surprised to receive your response. My middle name is Concetta and that was my grandmother's name.
My grandparents when they came to Australia settled in N.Q. too. I believe there are still alot of Di Bella's in N.Q. none of which I believe I am related too. I was born in SEQ. My grandmother was from Giarre in Sicily.
Regards
Teresa

Surnames: DiBella, Troia
My Grandmother was a DiBella, Guiseppina and was born in a small town at the base of Mt. Etna, called Linera. she came from a family of 11 brothers and sisters and the family baked bread for the town. My grandmother left Sicily when she was 19 and landed in New York City. Some of my grandmothers brothers and sisters names were Grace, Salvatore, Maria, Rose and I think Paolo. My grandmother married in NYC and had two daughters named Maria & Rose.
Anyone that feels they are remotely related please respond to this post. My email address, r.troia@comcast.net.
