Bishop Jacob Eash, b. 1774, his son Jacob Eash, b. 1797, his son Christian b 1827, who's son Tobias was born in 1847, who's son Noah T was born in 1881, his son William N. born in 1910 and his son, me, William L. born in 1948. My mother's ancestors go back also to Bishop Eash through another son, Jonathan. Are we related? I have a copy of the original printing of the The Eash Family Record and History. Would love to have a copy of the 1995 edition as mine has some missing pages and I have siblings who are trying to steal this from me!!!

I am a very distant relative of the Jacob Ashe who lived in the area of Scalp Level , PA. My side was the group that broke away, changed the name to Ashe and headed to Florida and California (San Luis Obispo area). My great grandfather was a William Ashe. He had 4 children, Daisy Adelaide (my grandmother), Stella, Edwin and Roy. One of the Ashe boys was President of a University in Florida (I believe it was the Univ. of Miami, but don't quote me). Let me know if any of this corresponds with your info.

No record of other spelling of Eash

Dear Mary Ellen,
My Eash Family book does not show a record of any name changes. When, where and what year was Jabob Ashe born?

thanks...
