Hello Cristina, my name is Selma. My maiden last name was Echeverria and I come from a long chain of Echeverria's. Is there any other information you may have on your father? DOB, birth place, relatives etc. Hope I can help. I too am searching for my biological father so I know how important any piece of information may be. I have several relatives here in California with the same last name, but none with Hernon. Let me kow of any other inforamtion you may have and hopefully I can help you find some sort of connection. Selma

Thank YOU Selma!

Hi again,
My father was born in Puerto Rico. Im not sure what date but my mom said he was a little older than her. That means she was born in 1948. Hermon had a sister Filicita, or in America we would call her Falica, who was burn to death in a Fire, by her boyfriend, (how horrid). He also had a brother my mohter called Frankie, cause she could not pernounce his name. He was always in trouble with the law. They were all living in Reading, PA. in the "1970" My dad was also on the Mushroom Farm for Imigrants, or maybe Natrualization to become a US Citazin. This pretty much sums it up. My father was not put on my Birth Cirtificate, because my mom was still married at that time to someone else, which back then was illegal. I really do have a missing part of me. He was in PA in 1988, I was in a Coma, but my Step Dad would not let him see me. So you can see this makes me want to seem him even more. Selma I have two beautiful children Mariah & Peyton 5 and 7. My son I was told looks just like my Biological father, and that is sad, cause everytime I look at him I think, and it makes me sad.
I do appreciate, any! information you could help me with. Oh yeah My dad at some time worked at the San juan Airport in PR.
Cristina Echevarria Parker....God Bless You

Hi and thanks for the additional information. Unfortunately none of the names seem familiar, I also saw your messages under the Echevarria board message. What would be the correct spelling? Here are a few names and approx. ages of Echeverria's that I know in California - you might want to ask you mom if any of these sound familiar. Maria 60's, Connie 80, Julio 40's, Raul 48, Bertha 70's, Ernesto 40's Mariann 40's, Teresa 30's. Hope this is helpful. I too am in search of my biological father who's name was not on my birth certificate, instead I got the name of the man my mom was married to at that time as well (which turned out to be Echverria) isn't that funny. Unfortunately, I never knew that until very recently that I had a different biological father than the rest of my siblings. But, I did always feel a difference between my prosumed fathers treatment toward me. Now, it all makes sense. Hopefully some day we will both find that little piece of information that would make our roots complete. Please feel free to e-mail me at work at splascencia@afsc.org. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Selma

Hi again,
I just found out that My father had a cousin Named Ralph, or Rafael Colon, and Raymond or Ramon Colon. I'm learning more information day by day, but unfortunately I have to support from my Mother, so I need to do this on my own, she just wishes that I find what I'm looking for. His sister that burned was not Falicita, her name is unknown. He did work at the San Juan Airport at one time. He did have a brother named Frank. His cousin in the picture that I hold is sitting with a red head named Susie Davis from PA. If any of this sounds familar please let me know!!!
God Bless the Echevarria's & Colon's

Hi Cristina, Unfortunately none of the names sound familiar to me. I will check them out with my mom. I wish that I could be of more help. I know how frustrating it feels when information is so hard to find. I think I mentioned to you that I am also in search of my biological father and my mother is also unwilling ot share much information with me. On my own I haven't been able to get very far. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us and keep you in my prayers. Hope to talk with you again soon. Hang in there. Selma

My name is Solange- I am sure that we not related-my father died in 1964 in Chile- however, I wanted to write because his name was spelled Hernan- sometimes a derivative of Hernando-maybe this will help in your search.
Good luck and Godbless
