According to the records I have found today. Benjamin Sallee did not die until Feb 1931. Anna Sallee Gabhart is listed as the dght. of Hannah Adkinson on her obit. Maybe we are not talking about the same person.

I have Anna Lee Sallee listed as the second child of Benjamin B. Sallee and Mary Belle Watts. B. Aug. 3, 1877. d. Feb. 6, 1943. Married Aug 14, 1904 to John Henry Gabhart. She is listed in 1900 Census as Servant in the household of Thomas and Hannah (Anna) Sallee Adkinson.
I have a note somewhere on the fact that the death certificate states otherwise. We are talking about the same person. Roberta

Anna was listed as being 19 yrs old and a servant in this household. Anna Lue Sallee dght of Ben Sallee was m Mar 24 1898 to J.W. Matherly? Was John Gabhart the 2nd husband of your Anna?

The Census Report I had was for 1900 and lists her as a servant and with the name Sallee. The Anna Lee I have was not married to anyone after John Henry as far as I know. I am pretty sure not. John Henry was married once before marriage to Anna Lee. The 1898 marriage date and the 1900 census confuse me. Roberta

The information I have lists the dght of Benjamin and Mary Belle "Mollie" as Anna Lue Sallee, this Anna married J.W. Matherly, Mar. 24, 1898. Do you know what relationship Benjamin would have been to Hannah. Thanks and sorry to be so troublesome. Miriam

The info I have is from someone who has done a lot of research on the Gabhart Sallee family and the info I have states that Thomas Adkinson married in Mercer Co . Anna Sallee (Hannah) in 1889 book 14, page 354. That Anna Lee was born in 1880 and was living with them as a servant and was 19 years of age in Mercer Co.There is also three sons and a dau. listed. It also states that Thomas and Hannah were married 10 years when the census was taken in 1900 States that Hannah was born in Dec. 1856. One child was deaf. Don't know if this helps or not. About all I have on Thomas and Hannah.
