I have two great grandmothers (My parents were second cousins) with the last name Hartner. Little is known about the history of these women. My mothers great grandmother, Margret, was born Sept. 8, 1866. She left home at age 11 for some unknown reason and married in the Pittsburg PA to John Brecht on Dec.30,1886.My fathers' great grandmother, Ann, was her sister and, from the ages of the children, my mother is assuming that she was younger. She married William Ubinger. Are there any connections to this branch of the family from the ones posted or has anyone run across information regarding these two women? Any help would be appreciated....

Have found that Margaret is really Margaretha Hartner. Ann is really Anne Hartner. Thier parents were Margaretha Summ and Johann Hartner. Both were from Germany- Baiern(bayern) and Baden respectively. I'm stuck again but have more information regarding their children. If you have any information please contact me- Thanks
