Hello all. I have been collecting information on all the branches of the Livaudais family for a few years. I would be glad to help anyone in anyway I can.
I started a genealogy page of my line at http://www.livaudaisnet.com/genelnk.htm. I still need a lot of help, espically on the maternal lines. Also, I have
copies of some old French documents and am looking for someone who can translate them. They were written during the French colonial period of Louisiana.
Please email me if you can help, or if I can help you with anything.

I know of your work, we met at a N.O.G.S meeting several years ago. I decend from Joseph Enoul dugue Livaudais. I think I have a few gaps there. Send me your Email address so I can go into more detail and see what you have. I think you are descendant from the Marigny marriage, correct?

Virginia,
Hello! I think we also wrote to each other (via snail mail...pre-email days). My email address is webfut@baileylink.net. I do not descend from the Livaudais-Marigny connection. I started a genealogy page at http://www.livaudaisnet.com/genelnk.htm. I list my ancestry there. I descend from François Enoul Livaudais, son of Jacques Julien. Let me know what I might be able to help you with.

I was contacted by a gentleman or should I say Baron in France. He would like very much to corresponde. His Email is BRUNO74. He does speak English and maybe would swap translation for information. Contact him if you want. He wrote a very interesting essay on the Family. Virginia (Gingerblu@aol.com)

Bruno and I correspond weekly, almost daily sometimes. He is a wonderful person (and very funny). If anyone researching Livaudais/Esnoul in France, Bruno is a good connection. He has helped me very much, and continues to do so. I am trying to return the favor by doing whatever I can for him here in the colony...oops, I mean Louisiana.

Greg; I didn't know you knew Bruno, yes he has a sense of humor. If you want to contact me further, use my Email address.
Gingerblu@aol.com You will probably be hearing from me. D.A.R. let me leave a few blank spaces when I was accepted, but I would like to know the birthdate or baptismal date for Joseph Enoul dugue Livaudais, I have a date but its not documented. Virginia

Hello. My mother was Anita Claire (Livaudais) Mayronne of New Orleans, LA. Born in 1919 died in 2000. Her mother was Anita Claire (Spansel) Livaudais and her father was Francis (Frank) Livaudais both of New Orleans.

I have a hand written family tree with some dates, etc. I have tried to get/trace some information back into France and have been unsuccessful. There are some de Livaudais and some Enoul and Esnoul de Livaudais on the papers. I made contact with some one in France but they were unable to determine what de Livaudais was or meant or what Enoul or Esnoul was or meant. I did find the name Livaudais on a parchment map of the battlefield for the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812. I have also not been able to find exactly when and where the family came to the US, etc. Are you able to shed any light for me on any of this? Regards.

Why Esnoul or Enoul ? answer

Surnames: Esnoul or Enoul de Livaudais
Hi

The corsairs from Saint-Malo used to add the name of a Saint to their own last name, to protect them. Saint Esnoul (sometime spelled Enoul) is a local Roman Catholic Saint from St-Malo area(France)

Good luck - Regards

Saw on Internet under "Livaudais" that you have Livaudais genealogy back beyond Jacques Esnoul Seiur de la Livaudais (b. 4-25-1669, St. Malo, France). Do you also have names of wives, birth, death, & marriage dates and locations ?

I have Jacques (b. 4-25-1669) down through Camille Claire Livaudais born 10-16-1897 who married Brittman Paul Landry 10-10-1923.

I do not have dates, locations, & spouse information for Mortimer Enoul de Livaudais b. about 1842; or his son Joseph Mortimer Livaudais b. 10-27- 1873.

I have nothing earlier on Landry line before Brittman Paul Landey who was born 8-9-1900, died 1-7-1969, married Camille Claire Livaudais in New Orleans, LA. One of my daughters married the grandson of Brittman & Camille who were the parents of Francis Paul Landry b. 4-13-1926 married Marion Audrey David b. 12-22-1928.

I hope you can help me fill in my missing blanks via E-mail. Many thanks for your interest & cooperation.

I noticed that you had Albert Enoul de Livaudais b. 9-26-1844, son of Francois Bernard Enoul Balthazar de Livaudais & Marie Anastasia Estelle Mortimer.

Francois & Marie had another son: Mortimer Enoul de Livaudias. Do you have any information concerning him, his wife, or his offspring ?
