My Tinklepaugh family is from the NY/PA border. My Great-grandfather was Vail Tinklepaugh. His son (my grandfather), was Irving V. Tinklepaugh (Died 9/1975). He was married to Kathleen Houck Tinklepaugh. They had four children, Irving Jr., Kathleen, Franklin (my father), and Delorous. They all live in the Binghamton, NY area. My father Franklin married Maria Giglio in 1967. Me (Frank D.), my brother Robert, and sister Laura were born in the 1970's. We all reside in Endicott, NY. I married Renee Kralovic 10/1996. We had our first child Christopher Robert Tinklepaugh on 2/3/98. I hope this helps with any geneology questions about NY/PA Tinklepaughs. If you look in a Binghamton, NY phone book, there are at least 15 families listed.

I am just now seeing this information you wrote. My Father, George William Tinklepaugh, was born in Larayesville, PA (I think) He was born Mar.15,1915. I understand we lived in Binghamton NY at some time when I was very, very young. Perhaps we may be related. My great grandfather was named Ernest, but I have no birth place or date for him.

Hello-My birth name was Janine Ann Tinklepaugh....my grandparents are/were Barbara Tinklepaugh(Hall) and my grandfather (deceased 1983) was Herman Tinklepaugh Sr., brother of Jacob Tinklepaugh. My grandmother & father (Herman L. Tinklepaugh Jr) live in Simpson/Connells Patch (outside of Duryea PA). I too am looking for my heritage. My grandfather was in the Army in WWII and worked in the mines as a child until he served. I would like to write to you more. Pls email when you have time. By the way I married a Frey, live in Lorain Ohio and have 6 boys and 1 girl, 2 grandsons and a granddaughter on the way. All the children are grown now (and over 6Ft tall) except 14 yr old boy at home. Alot of height for two germans huh? :). Hope to hear from you soon. God Bless you & your loved ones.

My ggrandmother was a Tinklepaugh and in my research came up with a lot of fragmented family information. Did Herman Sr. have 2 brothers and 4 sisters? Herman Jr siblings Joseph, Barbara, Patricia and Betty? I may not be able to help you any further, but you just can't afford to pass up any possibilities. My new e-mail (ralphdschmidt@msn.com).
