Greetings to you, I'm in chb-5, hope you don't mind. Have you had any luck finding anyone? I have a message at usnavy.com for my group, have you thought of posting on that web? Feel free to write back, gravelgert101@earthlink.net. bye.

No your the first person that I've talked to. Are you in chb-9 now? I,ve got an invite a few year ago to a retirement and was unable to go. I dont know if I know any one in the unit any more. I kinda had a parting of the waters after a deployment to Ca. and had my hand cut on a ship. Don't really want to go into it. There is a story about Desert Store and every thing envolved. I do kinda enjoy telling it to see how people react. About 8-9 months of that, hardly stacts up to my active duty in a seabee battalion + the rest of my reserve time. Thank you for writing. If you are in the unit and you know any one that knows me say hi for me.

Your name is not familar, but we did have a few seebees from chb-9 working with us in Guam. I can't rmember their names but I do remember they were alot of fun. The only time they made me mad, was when I was the hold boss and they would not take orders from me, they said they don't take orders from women and the Master Chief told me the same thing. No I am not in chb-9, I am IRR for the past 4 years. I'm burned out and I'm not going to re-enlist this year when my hitch is up. I'm going to take my 14 years and run. Also with my high blood pressure it would not be wise to continue. If you would like to keep in touch, you can e-mail me at gravelgert101@earthlink.net who knows maybe I can find some of you cargo buddies, I will ask my girlfriend who is still in she is with one of the chb's, don't know which one as I have not talked to her in a while, but will let you know if I find out anything. Hang in there, someone will answer you message sooner or later. Later, Joanne

When we were last there, the unit CHB-9. We were in the air port getting ready to return to the states when Desert Storm started. Desert Shield -> Desert Storm. We didn't do any ships at that time, we were working on land. So I haven't met you. Did work with a CHB-? in Spain. Was advance advanced party. Drop a line if you like. Best wishes. Tom h.

Hi Richard
I just ran across your post. Did you go active, during storm ? If you did did we met at some point. If we did jar my memery for me. I was with the seabee's. I know the unit had a lot of people coming & going. I would have stayed in the unit if the reserve unit & the command would have been more human. It wasn't like a seabee unit but I didn't mind it all that much. I was active for 3 yrs & with NMCB 74. Spent time with other reserve units, CB. This was my first attachment out side a seabee unit. Man I'll never for get it. I haven't talked to any one except 1 person sence I quit. Storm showed every ones true colors. I tried to work with every one but there comes a point I guess.

I wish you the best. Nice to have heard from Ya.
