My Great-grandmother met her husband at a yearly picnic at the school where she was living. Her name was Ines Torillo we don't know how she came to be there, she died shortly after she gave birth to my grandma. She was either Mexican or Spanish.

Hi,

Can you take a guess at when she was born?

What was her married surname?

She said she was born in Mexico, could have been New Mexico about 1883. Her name was Inez Torillo, but on the cesus record it shows as E Inez, I am thinking because of the it sounded. She married around 15 to a rancher named Abram or Abraham Banta, they had two children and then she died. The children were sent back east to be raised by the Banta family. Her daughter, my grandmother was name Inez Banta, later Ganey.
