How to get copy of a will

I have been doing my family tree for years, but for the most part only through I have started to hit brick walls and need to start branching out and I don't know much about how to research outside of

I found a posting of Blount County, TN wills index and I see that one of my relatives who I have been trying to find information on is listed on there. They have a will date, probate date and some book and page numbers.

How do I use this to try and find a copy of a will? Do I need to be in the TN area to do so?

Any help in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried calling the county clerk? It's often easiest to start as close as you can to the original record. If they don't have it or can't provide a copy,
and can't give any helpful advice, do a google search to find the state archives, and check their website for will holdings.
