I am looking for any information on my grandfather Frank Pevec who was born in Mala Loka, Slovenija was married to Jennie Jelnikar in 1911 or 1912. I do not know his date of birth. He immigrated to the US and settled in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and later moved to Forest City, PA. Jennie died in 1929 and Frank returned to Slovenija to marrie Jennie's half sister and brought her back to the US.

I am beginning a search for my maternal grandmothers origins. Her name was Barbara (Betty) Grill. She was born in
1895. She immigrated to the US in about 1919. She married a man named Lawrence Jerancic in Cleveland, Ohio.

I believe there is a stong possibility my maternal grandmother may have been a sister to Frank PEVEC. There was also another sister, Mary. Curiosity, Does any of your research indicate any residence in Pasaic N.J.?

I sent a response to your posted message to your e-mail address but since I have not heard from you I am sending one via the web site. Would be very interested in hearing from you regarding Frank's sisters. We are trying to find out if one branch of the family started with a brother or cousin of Frank. My father's name was Ignace Pevec born in Trebanjski Vrh, Austria 18-1-1894. Have reseached the Pevec name back four generations. Families have come from Trebanjski Vrh, Catez-Zaplas, and Goljek Slovenia.
Mala Loka is near by. I was there last year with the Slovenian Genealogical Society and visited that area. Beautiful country, rolling hills and grapevines.
Would love to hear from you on your Pevec family tree.

I have Alojzij's father as being Franc Gosar. I have nothing further back on the tree. Would appreciate any info you have. Alojzij B 1896-D1993 married Ana Oven B 1897-D1940. They had four children: MARY B-1924 married Vincent Vrhovnik B 1926 In Cleveland Ohio, June 1952, ANTONETTE B 1926 Married Frank Urankar in Cleveland, Ohio, June 1952, LOUIS B 1928 D-1945, and JOHANA B 1930 D 1932.
MARY and VINCENT VERHOVNIK have three boys, LOUIS, JOHN, and VENCENT.
ANTONETTE and FRANK URANKAR have four children: ANNE MARIE B1953 married ERNEST LUZAR B 1949, JOSEPH B 1954 married SUE B 1958, ANTONETTE B 1958 married JAMES ROBINETTE B1956 and FRANK B1961 married DEBBIE MONNELLO B 1965
I have no information on the VERHOVNIK boys.
ANNE MARIE and ERNEST LUZAR have two children:
ERNEST J. B 1975 and ANGELA MICHELLE B 1979 D 2001.
ANTONETTE AND JAMES ROBINETTE have three children:
JAMES B 1983, KATIE B 1985 AND KRISTI B 1987.
That's all the info I have on the GOSAR FAMILY.

You certainly have done a lot of work on it.
I will have to pass the information to my daughter-in-law's family. My grandson Ernie will be here from Cleveland tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with us.
Also, if you can add my husband's name to the tree. He is the father of Ernest Luzar and his name is Ernest Luzar also.
Kathie Majni is our daughter, she is not related to the Gosars.
Also, Joseph and Sue Urankar's second son is named Greg.

I might have given you the wrong name. Ever hear of Anna Purgar? She is another I have "Gosar" next to in my notes.
