Any one knows if Villa is pronounce the same way in Italian. I know many Italian families which have a surname Villa. Villa is even in the Italian dictionary, I was wondering if any1 knew if Villa is said the same way in Italian like in Spanish? and also, is Villa of Italian origin or Spanish; or both? like Gamboa is basque and portugese.

The pronounce in italian is different. The double "l" in italian sounds like "bell" in english. In spanish instead it sounds like "ya".
The origin of my surname is both italian and spanish, even if i think that Villa is a name much more famous in Spain and Latin America than in Italy.
In Italy is typical of northern regions, especially Lombardia.
