My gradmother was Bertha Bramlett White (born 1902), daughter of George Daniel Bramlett. When she died in 1980, an Elmer Bramlett from Texas attended the funeral in Castor, LA. Can anyone tell me how he was related to my grandmother? Thank you.

My father, Elmer Bramlett, was from Hodge, La. Bertha is my father's neice. Please respond as soon as you can. Been to her home often as kids. My brother John and I used to help my dad sell watermelons from the Whites' fields. Jerry and I used to play when we visited. My dad died in 1982. We still miss him. I would hope that you mght respond in kind.

Good to hear from you. I would have responded earlier but I have been without the internet for awhile until today. My father was Lonnie B. White, Jerry's older brother. He was 17 years older than Jerry so he may not have been living at home when you visited. In my research, I found Elmer in census records so I figured out who he was. I met Elmer at Bertha's funeral.
