I am looking for info on my gr grandfather, Patrick Gahan. He was born in Mitchelstown and left for the US in the mid to late 1800's. He met his wife, Johanna Fitzgerald on the way over. She was also born in Mitchelstown.
Patrick was a bricklayer in Utica, NY, so he may have done that in Ireland. He had to leave because the law was looking for him!
