Both sides of grandparents came to Canada in 1913 and 1919. Departing Liverpool and arriving in Halifax. I am wondering if there is a way find out how they got here in BC. Is there train records?

Hi , What are the names of your Grandparents?
They may have travelled via Canadian Pacific or Canadian Natilonal Railway.

I would not imagine that records would have been kept/ archived for all passengers travelling across country.
It is possible that I am wrong.
Cheers, Stella

Thanks for the reply the first link government page didnt work and the second was train history interesting but nothing about passenger records.

Immigrants from Europe destined for western Canada landed at ports on the East Coast, then continued their journey by train. The names of train passengers were not recorded.
That answered my question.

Hi there,

If you want help - you must give the surnames you are researching:) Then people can help you:)

I am not exactly sure what you would like to know? I doubt there are any train records- at least I have never seen any?

I would think Christine must have met Alex in Alberta.

Lymburn is about half way between Dawson Creek and Grande Prairie Alberta - just west of Hythe Alberta

So they either met in Dawson Creek, Grande Praire or Edmonton maybe?

Here is the land records where Christine's father has his land:
