Looking for more information about Michael Mulkerrin/Mulkern and Barbara Conley. He parents were Hugh Conley and Winnifred Casey Conley per Barbara's death certificate, which also says she immigrated in 1880. She would have been born in Ireland abt. 1832 however not sure in Galway, but I do know that the Mulkern line came from Lettermullen. Michael and Barbara's children were Elizabeth, John, Michael, Mary, Coleman and Bridget. They settled in Suffolk County, Ma, South Boston neighborhood.

You have two unusual names that may help your search, that being Barbara and Winifred. With a close birth year and first and last names you should be able to find parish baptism
records without a birth place/county. then you can search for further records based on the information. The surname for Michael will help as well as it is quite different from most.
You should be able to search Ireland with his birth year and his name only. You also have both parents name for Coleman and if he was born in Ireland it another easy name to search for. All the other children have very usual names.

There is no Conley's in the 1856 Galway Griffith Valuation but 68 Mulkerrin's, none in a place name Lettermullen but
Letterdeskert Townland is mentioned. Letterdeskert is in the Parish of Moyrus, Union of Clifden.

No Conley's in the phone book for Galway. Mulkerrin there are about 35 and 3 spelled Mulkern.

I would suggest starting with the Irish History Foundation mentioned above and then proceed from there.

www.familysearch.org Coleman Mulkerrin is not such an unusual name in Galway, some with parents names some without
those with a father Michael and wife Barbara did not have the surname Conley. Lee and Earles.

Thanks for responding Annette, and I appreciate the info. I have found many records on Micheal's but seems there were many Michael Mulkerin/Mulkerrin/or Mulkern's at that time in Galway. I have found Michael and Barbara's son Michael's birth record as well. The only lead I had on Barbara's parents (Hugh and Winnifred) were on the death certificate and who knows if the people supplying the information got it exactly correct. I find on Ancestry the Ireland records have limited information and I don't have subscriptions to ALL of the Ireland genealogy resources. I was hoping to find someone else with the same family connection at least on the Conley side. I have also found that Conley has been spelled as such as well as Coneely, Connely, Conly, to name a few. Haven't had much luck on the Casey side either. I would also love to know who the senior Michael's parents were. Sigh. Again thank you!

You can try by using the method mentioned. You will need to just wait patiently for family members to reply sometimes its a long time just keep your email address updated if you change it.
