Looking for more information on the Conrad Friederichs family who lived in Granville, WI...I believe he was born in Hanover in 1815....married Maria Sophia Siegers in Hanover and had two children, Elisabetha and Heinrich.
I know that they're listed on findagrave but anymore info on their roots and lives would be greatly appreciated.
I have seen the last name spelled in various ways....Friederichs, Friedrich, Fredericks, etc making it more difficult. Thank you!

Thank you!
The entry of "Frank Doublefool--servant" is interesting. Any ideas what that could have meant?
Is Hesse-Kassel part of Hannover? I'm finding that it is a separate part of Germany but one census states he was born there and another in Hanover. I'm interested in going farther back but have been unable to find the family on any voyages . Since Heinrich was born in Hanover and Elisab eth in Granville I'm assuming that they traveled between 10/1844 and when she was born in 1845 or1847 but I find nothing. Maybe not transcribed?
On the BLM website, I have found Conrad's location of the 180 acre farm he purchased. Does anyone know where to find homestead records? I found a site but it was dead link.
Also emailed the MPL about a plat map lookup so I could see where the farm stood if/when I ever get to Milwaukee but haven't heard back from them.
Thank you!

Surnames: Friedrichs Sagert
I've indexed a marriage announcement for a Conrad Friedrichs & Dorothea Sagert, m. 22 Aug 1846, from one of the local German newspapers. Given the complexity of some German families' naming customs, spelling variations in early records, and the reality that some immigrants with young children married after arriving in the US, this might be your couple.
